Medium Integration Setup Guide

Overview​

Bloggy AI can publish to Medium using your integration token and publication settings.

Medium publishing supports browser automation to manage paywall settings automatically for paid accounts.

Prerequisites​

  • Medium account
  • Integration token
  • Publication access if you publish to an organization/publication

Steps​

  1. Open Bloggy AI → Integrations → Add Integration
  2. Select Medium
  3. Enter Integration Token
  4. Choose target: Personal profile or Publication
  5. Save and test connection

Enable Browser Automation for Paywall​

If you have a paid Medium membership and want automatic paywall enablement:

  1. In Add Integration, enable Browser Automation
  2. Toggle Paid Medium Account to Yes
  3. Provide a Medium email magic link:
    • Go to medium.com/m/signin and choose Sign in with email
    • When the email arrives, copy the magic link URL without clicking it
    • The URL should look like: https://medium.com/m/callback/email?token=...
    • Paste the full URL into the Magic Link field
  4. Save the integration and verify connection

Notes:

  • The magic link expires; re-generate and update it if automation stops
  • Automation handles login, paywall enablement, tagging, and publication selection during publish

Publishing Notes​

  • Posts are created as drafts by default
  • Set visibility and tags after publishing if required by your workflow
  • Respect Medium rate limits

With browser automation enabled and a valid magic link, paywall status is set automatically for paid accounts.
